#LoveIsInDaBlog Day 13 – Lust

Tingling with fervor
That intense feeling
Longing for you
Heating up

Shaking with desire
That aching feeling
Craving your skin
Against mine

Sizzling with passion
That torturous feeling
Burning for your touch
Wanting more

Love Is In Da Blog is hosted by Bee Halton. Today’s prompt was “lust”.  Phew, that was harder than I thought it was going to be, but I finally did it!  It was a delicate balance, for sure.

#LoveIsInDaBlog Day 12 – The Kiss

Two eyes meet with unspoken words
Like humming birds
Singing the song
It can’t be wrong

Bodies draw closer, inch by inch
Oh, please don’t flinch
It must be right
Too late for flight

Feath’ry soft or brazenly bold
It’s liquid gold
When eyes are closed
And lips are posed

Love Is In Da Blog is hosted by Bee Halton. Today’s prompt was “kiss”.

All of these prompts seem to inspire poetry in me, but today I went searching for a different type of poem just to keep things interesting.  This is my very first crack at a Minute Poem.

#LoveIsInDaBlog Day 11 – Perfect Joy

That lovely smile
When I open my eyes
The sun shining through the window
The touch of your hand
At just the right time
To let me know I’m not alone
The feel of your lips
Against my skin
That unmentionable, tingling bliss
Laughing at the words
Just between us
Wearing clothes not meant for me
What’s yours is mine
What’s mine is ours
Sharing life with you
My love
Enveloped in perfect joy

Love Is In Da Blog is hosted by Bee Halton. Today’s prompt was “joy”.

#LoveIsInDaBlog Day 5 – Devotion

Diving heart first into

Everything lovingly offered

Vying with past heart break

Offering ever more than naught; we

Travel our path with hands and hearts

Interlocked through pain and joy.

On, toward the journey’s end, we share

Nothing more or less than all we have.

Love Is In Da Blog is hosted by Bee Halton. Today’s prompt was “devotion”.  I decided an acrostic poem was just the perfect thing; although not as easy to write as I first thought.

SoCS and #JustJoJan Day 6 – Decorative Thoughts Become Reality

Words generously
Decorate thoughts
Scattering longing
…Betrayal
……Love
………Death
Life!
Across stark pages
Slowly filling up.

The artist’s soul
Becomes reality

Just Jot It January and Stream of Consciousness Saturday are hosted by Linda G. Hill. Today’s prompt is “eco.” Find a word that starts with “eco” or has “eco” in it, and base your post on that word. Have fun!

SoCS – Volatile Ecstasy

Bodies entwined
Hearts pounding in unison
Volatile sparks hovering
In the voluminous musk
Volcanic sizzling
A slowly building volution
Voluptuous sighs
A gentle kiss
Erupting beyond the crest
In blissful ecstasy

Stream of Consciousness Saturday  is hosted by Linda G Hill. Today’s prompt is “vol.” Find a word with “vol” in it, and use it in your post. Have fun!

I sort of cheated on this one as it isn’t really stream of conscious, but I figured it’s better to have something than nothing at all. I’m giving myself a point for the process being stream of conscious, even if the end result isn’t. Please forgive me, Linda!

SoCS – Out On A Limb

So, “limb” wasn’t a very inspiring prompt for me, but then I kept repeating the phrase “out on a limb” in my head and suddenly I had a poem.  Not only that, it came out of my head and onto the screen without any editing, so it is wholly SoCS.  I must be in a poetry mood lately.

But anyway, I hope you enjoy my take on the prompt.

Out On A Limb

Going out on a limb
You can’t catch me
All falling down
Around me

Going out on a limb
Trouble in paradise
The wind picks up
And begins to rise

Going out on a limb
I hold my head high
Come what may
I no longer accept the lie

Stream of Consciousness Saturday  is hosted by Linda G Hill.  Today’s prompt is “limb”.
