This one might be a slight stretch on the theme this week, but I just had to post an Oasis song. My manager is a huge follower of Oasis, and he just went to see Noel Gallagher live in Las Vegas this weekend. It’s so amazing when you get to see your favorite band or singer live. Unfortunately, the group is no longer together, but their music lives on!
I haven’t followed Oasis like I have other bands, but I’ve always loved their music when I’ve heard it. When I first started checking them out (because my manager doesn’t shut up about the Gallagher brothers), I realized that their music has been featured in movies and television shows quite a bit. So, I was pretty familiar with a few of their songs, including this one.
To me, this song speaks of unity – “I think you’re the same as me”. I realize we are all different in so many ways, but we are also the same. We are all humans living on this planet, trying to find happiness. The more we can realize those similarities and come together to make changes, the better off we will be. Let’s “live forever” together!
Also, I found this really cool video with Liam Gallagher performing the song with Coldplay in Manchester. I decided to choose that one instead of the official Oasis video, because I just love it when singers/bands unite to perform great music!
I hope you enjoy!
How your garden grows cos I just want to fly
Lately, did you ever feel the pain?
In the morning rain as it soaks you to the bone
Maybe I just want to breathe maybe I just don’t believe
Maybe you’re the same as me we see things they’ll never see you and I
were gonna live forever
How your garden grows cos I just want to fly
Lately, did you ever feel the pain?
In the morning rain as it soaks you to the bone
But now is not the time to cry now’s the time to find out why
I think you’re the same as me we see things they’ll never see you and I
We’re gonna live forever
How your garden grows cos I just want to fly
Lately, did you ever feel the pain?
In the morning rain as it soaks you to the bone
Maybe I just want to breathe maybe I just don’t believe
Maybe you’re the same as me we see things they’ll never see you and I
You and I are gonna live forever
We’re gonna live forever
Gonna live forever
Gonna live forever
Gonna live forever
Gonna live forever
The Song Lyric Sunday theme for this week was unity. Please feel free to click the link, read the rules and post one of your own.
I honestly don’t think any of us are all that different. We all want the same things after all – love, acceptance, peace.

Fabulous song, fabulous video. I believe this was at the charity concert in Manchester after the bombing.

I knew about the concert, I just didn’t know this video was from a concert to raise money for the victims. Thanks for sharing! I think it adds to the unity theme this week!

Wonderful song, and I loved the sound of it, and the concert was for a good cause. It was such a tragedy what happened.

Anything with Coldplay – YAAY! Good choice!
We are all the same… human. Division of any kind is only for power and control. 😉

Huge Oasis fan here, they have been my favourite band since the age of 16. If you have any interest at all in this band, I HIGHLY suggest watching their documentary ‘Supersonic’. It’s hilarious, tragic, thrilling, and honestly, inspiring.

There you were thinking you were going a bit off track from “unity” and then you go and give us a song, and event, and collaboration that is just perfect!
