I don’t know what made me search for Bee’s website today. I suppose I just missed her and was wondering what she was up to. I’m honestly so happy I did. I completely forgot that she hosted a February challenge. It seems to me that I write/post more when there’s a challenge afoot. Anyway, I’m a few days late, but better late then never, I always say.
When I think of charming, it doesn’t really inspire thoughts of my hubby. Let’s face it. Men are rarely charming. I suppose they can be in their own way, but I chose to highlight my cute nephew because he’s actually charming as hell.
He’s at that age where he doesn’t really know me, so he runs whenever he sees me. I don’t necessarily let him get away with it, which leads to some pretty hilarious battles. The last time I saw him, I had the audacity to try and tickle him. He slapped my hand away in astonished horror, as if I was a demon trying to steal him away in the night.
I’m sure one day soon, I will be closer to the top of his list. After all, I’m fun and parents can be such a pain in the ass. They’re always there, telling us what to do and more importantly what not to do. I plan to be just as charming every time I see him so I can steal my way into his heart, just like he stole his way into mine the second he was born.
While he was pissed at me the last time I saw him, we did manage to have a moment. My sissy was having us help her with some head shots for the opening of a project she’s working on. The whole time, Brody kept trying to go over there, because he loves pictures of himself. He wasn’t very happy that I wasn’t letting him. When we finally had the perfect shot for my sister, Brody beelined it for the fireplace. He sat down and pointed at my phone. “Do you want me to take your picture,” I asked? He pointed again and said “Eh”, which of course means yes.
He posed quite well, if I do say so myself. A little Prince Charming in the making!
Love Is In Da Blog is hosted by Bee Halton. Today’s prompt was “charming”.
