Teaser Tuesday – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I read this book quite a while ago, but as I was going through my Goodreads list trying find something to post for today, I ran across it and all the memories came flooding back.  It was such an intense, amazing read (once you got past the first 80-100 pages, that is).  The slow start was definitely worth it, though.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1)

There is only one scene in the book, that if I’d known it existed, I probably would have skipped the book.  It traumatized me big time.  But even with all of that, I’m not sorry I read it.  It was an amazing read.  So, if you haven’t read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, I highly recommend it.

I’ve been a little slow with my current read, so I had to look for this quote online.  There were some pretty good ones and it was seriously hard to decide, so I hope you liked the one I picked!

“In the evening he went to the cinema to see “The Lord of the Rings”, which he had never before had time to see. He thought that orcs, unlike human beings, were simple and uncomplicated creatures.”
Stieg Larsson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Jenn at Books and a Beat.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. I love the whole series and am contemplating to read the one that came out lately but by another author. Quite a controversy :-). Such a shame Stig Larsson passed away so early.
