I’ve been working on this book for way too long, but I’m honestly enjoying it; I’m just having a hard time finding time to read it. As I’ve stated before, my reading tastes have changed and I have started enjoying darker stories.
Kathy Reichs writes stories about a forensic anthropologist, Tempe Brennan, and Death Du Jour is the second book in the series. There are points where the descriptions of bones and dead things really starts to get to me, but it doesn’t stop me from reading and being completely interested. It’s like I just can’t look away. I keep reading until the end and then I wonder how I actually made it to the end.
I’m excited to find out what happens in this one, if I ever get around to actually finishing it.
My quote is coming from page 161.
“By the time I got home my anger had cooled. Some emotions are too intense to persist without ebbing.”
