Friday Fictioneers and JustJoJan Day 22 – Felicity

The ballroom glittered with brightly lit chandeliers and the laughter of dancers swaying to the lively music. Felicity sat at the piano, trying to keep up with the requests. It left her card rather empty for the evening, but she was delighted to watch everyone else enjoying the festivities.

She knew the songs by heart so her eyes scanned the room as her fingers danced along the keyboard. She saw him almost immediately. Black curly hair falling across his forehead. Striking blue eyes. They locked with her delicate green ones and her heart skipped a beat.

He was the one.

Friday Fictioneers is a weekly flash fiction prompt where we are given a photo and asked to write a 100 word story – beginning, middle and end. This one is exactly 100 words. I also combined Just Jot It January hosted by Linda G. Hill. Today’s prompt, felicity, was brought to us by Simply Me. Considering one of the meanings for felicity is happiness, I thought I’d tell a happy little tale of love at first sight.
