“It looks like we have clear skies for the return flight, Jack,” the pilot said as he headed to the front of the plane.
Jack stood in the doorway breathing in the fresh morning air. He felt solid again. Complete. Smiling, he closed the door and headed to his seat. The newspaper was resting in its designated place and the morning’s headline jumped out at him.

Images from the past two days flashed before his eyes as he settled in and began to read. He had plenty of time to relive it all during the long flight home.
Friday Fictioneers is a weekly flash fiction prompt where we are given a photo and asked to write a 100 word story – beginning, middle and end. I was a little over with this one at 114 words. I also combined Just Jot It January hosted by Linda G. Hill. Today’s prompt, honorable, was brought to us by Tahsa at Corner of Confessions.
