#frapalymo – Through the Air and Down the River

Through the Air

The golden orb shines
Beaming rays down on
Glorious feathered wings
Soaring through the azure sky
Wind cascading across
Sizzling flesh
Enveloping clouds offer
Plump wet kisses
As decadent miles rush by

Down the River

The golden orb reflects off
Iridescent scales blending
With forgotten shells
Drifting along the sooty riverbed
Fins pump furiously
Thrusting through rushing water
Cascading serenely across
Jagged rocks and moss-covered stones
As winding miles float by

#frapalymo is hosted by @FrauPaulchen and is translated by Bee on her blog The Bee writes. I wasn’t able to post last night, so I was happy this one was a “two-for” and I decided that instead of skipping a day, I would just post them both on the same day. The prompt for yesterday was “air trip” and the prompt for today was “river journey”. I feel like I managed to tie them together rather nicely.
