#frapalymo – Nature’s Heartbeat

Nature’s Heartbeat

Walking on dirt

swish-swishing beneath my feet

Embracing the cacophony that

surrounds the stillness

Birds singing

Leaves rustling

Water rushing along

Vast peaks rise above

stretching infinitely into the sky

Energy surrounds me

Invisible threads stretching

One heartbeat alive in all

May’s poetry challenge is hosted by @FrauPaulchen and translated by Bee on her blog The Bee writes. Today’s prompt was “write a poem about the countryside.” It was also done as part two of the one written yesterday about cities. I wasn’t planning on doing a poem like yesterday’s, but it turns out it could be the second part of “City Streets.” If you’d like to join in, feel free to click either link and get started.

  1. Wonderful poem Helen. Love you sweet girl. I will try to read your posts while we are in California. If not I will get them when we come home.
